Citizen Kelly comes out of retirement, returns to WCGO

Chicago, Illinois – In light of the recent sale of WLUP-FM and the pending bankruptcy of major Chicago radio stations, Citizen Kelly says he is coming out of retirement to save Chicago radio. “The Citizen Kelly Show” will return to evenings on AM 1590 WCGO beginning on March 19th, airing daily from 10 pm to midnight.
“The Citizen Kelly radio empire is not only growing but thriving,” host William J. Kelly says. “We do Chicago TV and radio successfully because we are from Chicago; we know Chicago people; we know Chicago attitudes, and we know Chicago humor unlike these failed, bankrupt radio stations with their fake personalities and forced laughter.”
Kelly began his career as a promotions coordinator at WLUP-FM, which signed off after 40 years of classic rock this weekend. He is the founder of RevDigital, an Emmy award-winning production company based in Chicago. For more information about the Citizen Kelly Show visit www.citizenkelly.com.
