FOX: Citizen Kelly says Smollett dismissal politically motivated

Appearing on FOX & Friends this morning, Chicago radio host Citizen Kelly called out Cook County State’s Attorney Kim Foxx’s office for dropping a 16-count indictment against “Empire” actor and hate hoaxer Jussie Smollett:
KELLY: “This dismissal is a slap in the face to every citizen of Chicago and all we wanted was an apology. That’s a pretty low bar, Ainsley,” said Kelly. ” But what we have now is worse than what happened to begin with. They [Cook County State’s Attorney] has dropped the charges, sealed the file and Jussie Smollett is still perpetuating this hoax against the people of Chicago. He’s still going around saying he was the victim of a hate crime in Chicago. This hoax continues.”
EARHARDT: “How did this happen?” asked FOX host Ainsley Earhardt. “Do you have to know the right people? If you’re rich and famous, you get off?”
KELLY: “Well, that’s normally all there is to it. But in this case, there’s a lot more. Michelle Obama’s former Chief of Staff Tina Tchen contacted Foxx’s office – we have the text messages so this isn’t a conspiracy or conjecture – to have the charges against Smollett dropped and the case transferred to the FBI. But the CPD – being the heroes that they are – investigated this case and turned up enough evidence to bring a 16-count indictment,” said Kelly. “So now we have something completely out of the ordinary.”
KELLY: “The people of Chicago are finally fed-up with corruption and crime. They’ve paid for this investigation to the tune of hundreds of thousands of dollars. This isn’t going to be over until this sealed file is released to the public. When that happens, Jussie Smollett will finally be forced to stop smearing my city – the City of Chicago,” Kelly said.
